Find out what it means to me

This topic I'll keep as straight forward as I can: EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT BUT RESPECT IS UNIVERSAL.
People have different definitions of what respect is but here is the UNIVERSAL definition of it, according to good ol' Google: "a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements." Makes you think about who you truly respect right?

Lately, what seems to be trending are kids have no respect for their parents, girls not having respect for themselves and couples not having respect for each other. What's up with that? Understandable that we cannot control what another does but we do have total control over ourselves. That is self respect- "Pride and confidence in oneself; a feeling that one is behaving with honor and dignity." Honor yourself and have some dignity but don't forget to give everyone the respect they deserve. That does not mean to disrespect because when you stoop down to a level I'm sure no one wants to be associated with. By disrespecting (even if you have been disrespected) you are already losing your self respect and the respect of others. (A lot of that "respect" word huh? Well, it's emphasizing my point). I'm not saying be a pushover but rather do the right thing. Simple.

Respect yourself and others.
This goes to everyone of all ages, races, species, etc.
