Graduation (!!)

My graduation is just around the corner and excited doesn't even begin to cover how I feel. It's been quite the journey and I can't wait for what's to come next, whatever that may be.

In true fashionista fashion (bleh? lol) I've had my outfit planned out since January. Yes, I'm slightly neurotic when it comes to my fashion, especially for special occasions. I've already purchased my dress and clutch. I a missing my shoes which I can't seem to be able to decide on. The look I'm going for is a modern twist on Audrey Hepburn's style. She epitomized what it is to be ladylike, elegant, stylish and classy. She's most famous for her role in Breakfast at Tiffany's where she donned a black Givenchy dress. My look however is more spring time ladies' luncheon. I'm channeling the Audrey Hepburn who dazzled in girly tea length dresses with flared skirts and fitted bodice, low kitten heels with minimal makeup and accessories.

My tips for choosing the appropriate outfit, don't feel like you have to compromise your personal style. If you're style is raw and edgy like Rihanna's, check out images of her in a more subdued version of her usual. Remember you can still dress for a specific occasion and be true to yourself. Next, Keep in mind where you're going and who you'll be interacting with. In this case, graduation, I know I will be mingling with classmates, professors, college administrators and families; the venue Lincoln Center, where the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is held.
